Howdy, and welcome to the One To Watch! This week we’re featuring a Midwest girl whose focus early in life was sports and music. Alannah McCready was born and raised in Minnesota and started playing hockey at an early age. Her drive and talent earned her a spot on the UW-Madison women’s hockey team from 2006 through 2010.  According to her bio, she then got a sports-related job in New York City. But the need to make music was always in the back of her mind. So she finally took the plunge and moved to Nashville, where she’s been pursuing a career in Country Music.

Her latest song is called, “Something Like That”.
