This week’s Hodag Country Critter is a two-and-one-half-year-old Sheppard Mix named Lady! If you’re looking for a cute new companion, call the Oneida County Humane Society to make an appointment to see Lady.
Please read the message below from the Oneida County Humane Society (dated 3/21/2020)
We would like to thank our community and supporters during this time. We are receiving donations for the critters, aluminum cans being dropped off and many monetary donations to help us as well. This week we have been able to find homes for 5 cats and 4 dogs. This is amazing and we really appreciate your continued support.
We have received many calls to help foster pets and we will be in touch with families as fosters are needed.
We have closed our doors to walk-in visitors and ask if anyone would like to adopt, please check our website for available pets and call to make an appointment to meet that pet. If you need to surrender a pet, please call to make an appointment.
Staff will still be available during regular hours to answer your questions and appointment requests by phone. Anyone wanting to make a donation can leave supplies in the entrance or call ahead to see if a staffer can open the door for you during business hours.
We are limiting volunteers at this time, but we do want we want to thank all of our volunteers for all you do to help the pets at OCHS and we will see you all soon.
Our staff has been busy making sure all the needs are met for each and every pet in our care. All pets are doing well, happy, playful and bellies are full. Shout out to staffers Amanda, Katie, Ellie, and Brooklyn for all your hard work and extra hours during this time!
Thank you, everyone, for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you all very soon!
-Bria, Director OCHS
