Meet Brave

Meet Brave

My name is Brave and that’s exactly what I am.  I came to the shelter at the beginning of July sorely underweight, with porcupine quills in my face and sadness in my eyes.  I had been looking for love in all of the wrong places but wanted so desperately to belong to someone.  From the moment I came through the door, the staff was head over paws for me and the rest is history.  It’s amazing what love can do; my spirit is rejuvenated and my body has begun to heal itself with the help of the care and love of my friends here.  I’m like a whole new dog and for the first time in a long time, I’m looking forward to what the future holds.
Despite everything that I’ve been through I’m as playful and happy as a puppy.  I’m very smart, very sweet and so, so special.  I would be a great addition to a household with other dogs but I absolutely cannot live with cats.  I feel like I’ve already come so far but I know my greatest accomplishment will be adopting someone like you. Check me out at the Humane Society of Marathon County website!
